In continuation of my last blog post where I showed all the overworld locations in the game where you can obtain items, we have our latest edition: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Randomizer Dungeon Guide. In order to help everyone who is newer to the game, I have edited a couple of maps I had found for use on Ian-Albert.com in order to better assist everyone with finding every possible item location. These maps are only going to show you where the chests are located in the dungeons. I will be doing tutorial videos that I will be putting on my Youtube page if you wish to see how to efficiently access each chest. In Randomizer the items under the pots will still be the same so we have included the locations of anything guaranteed to be dropped from an enemy or anything found under pots. Please Note: Small keys dropped from enemies or under pots are not included on the list for each dungeon as the list is only for potential item locations. Please also note that I have left the chests that are guaranteed to have small keys in them with the image of a small key above them. Hyrule Castle Escape
Eastern Palace
Desert Palace
Tower of Hera
Hyrule Castle - Agahnim 1All chests in this dungeon are guaranteed small keys. Palace of Darkness
Swamp Palace*
*Note: You do not need the boss key to access this boss Skull Woods*
*Note: You do not need the boss key to access this boss Thieves town
Ice Palace
Misery Mire
Turtle Rock
Ganon's Tower
I thank you very much for taking the time to look over this guide. Please leave any questions or comments below if you think I have missed anything or if you have a suggestion for another guide.

So you have decided to get into randomizer but have either never played or never 100%'d the original Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past game. To be honest I hadn't either before playing my first randomizer. In order to help everyone who is newer to the game, I have edited a couple of maps I had found for use on Ian-Albert.com in order to better assist everyone with finding every possible item location. This map is only going to show you where they are however. I will be doing tutorial videos that I will be putting on my Youtube page if you wish to see how each item is accessible. 02/18/2018 - This Map was Updated Based on V29 Spoiler Log Coming out Soon Overworld Items
Dungeons
When I first started playing The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past Randomizer, one of the biggest things I really struggled with was memorizing which items are needed for each dungeon. With the first randomizer tournament underway and due to the increasing popularity of the game and the influx of new players, I figured now was a good time to talk about the game and what is required for each dungeon.
So I guess the first question is, "What is LttP Randomizer?" Well, in the randomizer the basic structure (maps, dungeons, etc.) stays the same but all the items in the game have been shuffled to new places. In Version 8, boss hearts, NPC items, heart pieces, and chest items have also been shuffled. Prize packs for defeating enemies have been randomized as well and the objective of the randomizer is to beat Ganon as quickly as possible. What items do I need to beat the game?
Depending on the seed, the required dungeons will change as the crystals and pendants are randomized between dungeons. This is where careful planning and strategy is needed in order to avoid cases like this:
I have compiled a list of items required to full clear each dungeon. Please note that these items can also be found in the dungeons themselves, they just cannot be past the rooms that require them.

Please note:
- Desert Palace can be entered 2 different ways so I have separated both access points in separate lists to indicate the items needed depending on which way you enter. - The medallions needed to enter both Turtle Rock and Misery Mire are randomized so the required medallion will be different in each seed. - Two items side by side separated by an "or" means you only need one of those two items to complete the dungeon.
In the future, I will be making an in depth guide for each dungeon, explaining how many chests and keys they contain, so please look forward to it. If there is anything I missed or that needs correcting, please leave a comment below.
